Information we collect
When you contact us or register for updates, we may collect your name, work email address, company, service interests and the information you include in your message. If you submit client feedback, we also collect the service, star rating, review wording and your chosen publication setting. If you use the website’s AI assistant, the messages you send are processed to generate its response. Please do not submit passwords, confidential records or sensitive personal information.
Business Scanner
When you run the Business Scanner, the website address you enter is sent to our server so it can request publicly available pages and response headers from that website. A business name is optional and is used only in your browser to label the result. The scanner feature does not require an email address and does not save the scan result in an application database. Our hosting provider may still process standard technical request logs for security, reliability and abuse prevention.
Only scan a public website you are authorised to assess. Do not enter private network addresses, credentials, confidential URLs or personal information. Scanner results are informational, may change over time and are not a legal, compliance or penetration-testing assessment.
How we use it
We use enquiry details to respond, understand your requirements and take requested follow-up steps. Where you separately opt in to guidance and updates, your name, email address and subscription status are stored in Resend and used for that purpose. Marketing messages include an unsubscribe option, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
Client feedback is emailed to Secure AI. If you explicitly choose a public setting, the review wording, rating and permitted identity details are also stored and published automatically on the website. An anonymous review does not publish your name, company or email address. Feedback marked private is not added to the public review store.
Optional website analytics
If you choose “Allow analytics”, Google Analytics helps us understand page usage and which website actions lead to enquiries. We measure consultation-link clicks, enquiry-form engagement and confirmed conversions. Advertising and personalisation signals are disabled. The analytics script is not loaded if you decline, and you can change your choice using the “Analytics preferences” control.
Our lawful basis
We process enquiries because it is in our legitimate interests to respond to people who contact the business and, where relevant, to take steps requested before entering into a contract. We rely on consent for optional marketing emails.
Service providers and international transfers
We use service providers to host the website, deliver email, provide scheduling, store permitted public testimonials, measure optional analytics and power the AI assistant. Chat messages are sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. Those providers process limited information on our behalf and may operate outside the UK. Where required, appropriate safeguards apply to those transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, including reasonable follow-up, legal, accounting and security requirements. Marketing details are removed when you opt out, subject to a minimal suppression record where needed.
A publicly permitted testimonial may remain visible while it is relevant, unless you withdraw publication permission or ask us to remove it. The original feedback email is retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to processing, or receive a portable copy. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
